Serviceability/Ownership

  • Placement of the timing gear train (located at the front of the engine), turbocharger (in the "V" space atop the engine), an easier-access oil filter (located at the lower left rear corner of the engine) and fuel filter (located at the upper right rear of the engine) provide easier accessibility and reduced service time.

  • Hardened valve seat inserts in the aluminum cylinder heads helps provide improved serviceability.

  • A gear-driven water pump design reduces stress on the accessory drive belt, and it will also help keep you from being stranded if the drive belt fails.
