AXLES:
The Chevy Kodiak has a set-back axle and a wheelcut of up to 54 degrees – allowing the C4500/C5500 regular cab to turn a full circle in as little as 36.8 feet. The result? A best-in-class turning diameter within class 4 and superb maneuverability.*

*Based on comparison of 2003 Chevy Kodiak C4500/C5500 to Ford F450/F550. Excludes other GM vehicles.

REAR AXLES:
Available with limited slip differential for added traction. Axle ratios available with select engine/transmission combinations.

11,000 lb (C4500) 4:30/4:63/4:88/5:13

13,500 lb (C4500/C5500) 4:44/4:78/5:13

Traction control using ABS available with all models.

SUSPENSIONS:
Chevy Kodiak's range of suspensions is designed to match the size and type of load you carry. Multileaf springs designed to help stabilize loads with high centers of gravity are available. You can also select a strong parabolic suspension that stiffens progressively as its load increases, resulting in a more consistent ride whether the Chevy Kodiak is empty or loaded.
