BRAKES:
A new 4-wheel antilock brake system offers improved modulation for a more
predictable braking response. The 4-wheel disc brakes have also been
reengineered with bigger rotors and a larger brake pad surface that greatly
enhances brake life and helps decrease lifetime cost.
CLUTCHES:
When equipped with the ZF 6-speed transmission, the Vortec 8100MD gas engine
and the DURAMAX 6600 diesel both feature a 13-inch clutch. The
self-adjusting mechanism can mean less downtime for maintenance adjustments
related to clutch wear – and increased time between service intervals.
